- Fixed “Recent Activity” posts sometimes not being removed correctly.
Feed Filter
Feed Filter is a Firefox add-on to hide selected Facebook News Feed posts, display posts from one app at a time, and more.
When trying to hide all sidebar items, except requests, it shows me just Get Connected, even after reloading the browser. I have to toggle on Suggestions. And even then it still shows Get Connected if no other items are toggled.
This started with version 1.4.4, yesterday. I’m using FF 3.6.3. If you need any other info, I’ll be happy to supply it.
P.S. The release notes mentioned more apps were added to the filter page, but they do not show up.
Okay, uninstalled and reinstalled Feed Filter. The sidebar options are now working correctly. Though I still don’t see more apps in the apps tab.
The new apps are in the “Apps to link” tab of the Options window. When you click “Add app”, there are more application names in the list to choose from.
Mafia wars And Cafe world do show in linked feed . When I Click red mafia wars link the page keeps reloading and the same on cafe
please add an autopoke feature!!
I use FF but I’m not happy so much because FF expand post so much message an I must try so hard to go down to see old message. If you can fix expand message on 100 okay … but all message to be expand!! so much post so much- thank you thank you
When the filter is on, the news feed keep blinking and changing pages.
So when trying to reply somebody’s message it keeps on changing the page.
You have to go to the persons profile to leave a comment.

On the side bar under Friends, All Friends and Phonebook no longer display.
I really want to get to the All friends link so that I can edit my lists easily. I can find no other way to get to that particular page.
Downloaded the new version, any typing now on the page keeps sticking, opening pages is slower, especially messages….when clicking on a name in notifications, the page opens, then goes straight back to newsfeed…..
switching off the filter fixes all these problems…

I checked to box to hide “is now friends with someone,” but “are now friends” keep showing up even after a reboot. Is there a difference between the two somehow?
my problem is the same as Wendy’s blinking pages and such, but also can only logoff from within profile, can’t go to someone elses profile without typing it in the search window, scrolling is slow and jerky, when it finally catches it jumps many posts down. Also older posts, just post the previous post again, repeats the same page. i tried lowering the number of post to show, it helped some but not much. thanks
Just upgraded from Version 1.4.1 and have not tested 1.4.5, BUT many, many thanks for producing and giving us such a superb filter. You are Aces!
Came to discuss the “remove recent activity”posts to my wall.
When I check the box, this WARNING pops up:
“Just switch to your Wall occasionally to let Feed Filter scan it and they’ll be removed automatically.” “HOORAY!!”
**************…Wait…Nothing Happens!…**********************
(The “recent activity” has to be “removed” one by one, NOT automatic!)
The WARNING continues:
“Note that unlike on the News Feed where posts from other people are just hidden from your view, these “Recent Activity” posts are actually removed from your Wall permanently and cannot be restored.”
“Also note that although the posts are removed from your Wall, Facebook still adds some of these Recent Activity posts to your friends’ News Feeds, and unfortunately only Facebook has the ability to remove them.”
I then UNCHECKED the box!
Now, I find there is an update (and I manually update often). It is to be seen if the “automatic” feature now works as described.
Whenever I tell others of this add-on, they want to kiss me!! Keep up working the annoying bugs out, it still offers a lot of great things!

why my recent acktivity not removed automaticly ??
When feed filter is enabled & I try to click on a notification it will briefly load the page then suddenly go back to the feeds on its own. very frustrating when trying to reply to a post.
I’m having the same issue too, with ‘blinking pages’ and it changing the page. As well as not being able to click on the top tab to see whose posted where. It freezes the page. I’ve contacted already about the rest of my issues.

Thank you so much. This really cleaned out things that I hated about Facebook. I love how ot expands applications that I play. It’s wonderful. And since I can’t hug & kiss you, I’m leaving you them at the end. Thanks again!!..<3<3<3 X0X0X0

how do i uninstall this app i want to reinstall

1.4.5 won’t filter at all. I used the hide apps function. every app shows up on the wall. Take a look at it and see what you all can do. Thanks
I downloaded Feed Filter because of the great expand similar posts option. LOVED IT!!! Now that this has been removed, it doesn’t hide the apps I don’t want to see nor does it expand similar posts. It is worthless to me and will be deleted ASAP.
