Feed Filter 2.0.1 is now available.
New in this version:
- Fixed “likes a page” posts not being hidden when the page is outside of Facebook.
- Added an option to hide “updated their profile” posts (“added a school or job”, “updated their current city”, etc.)

It’d be great if could also add a filter on “Share” comments
Thank’s….
thank you, still one of the best firefox addons
I would like to download an older version of this to use on Mafia Wars as you removed the “Show Similar Post” out of this newer version. This doesn’t help me play the game and get in Wars in time, and it’s a lot of clicking. I’m not the only one interested in an older version. Can you supply the older version to me or at least offer the older version also? Thanks! Deb
For those who miss the Remove Recent Activity feature of FF, there’s this Grease Monkey Script:
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/67751
It’s working intermittently for me on Firefox 3.5.9.
WTF happened to the ‘remove recent activity’ option!? For crying out loud, it was the reason I installed this in the first place, and it was certainly the applications best feature. I’m about to remove the application.
why the my recent activity can’t delete automaticly ??
How do I roll back to a previous version? It sucks Facebook is making Feed Filter disable the “recent activity” option.
Great to see this back up after the email you received from Facebook, keep up the good work :)
facebook is only allowing the 20 most recent to be filtered. How to filter all in last day or so?
on News setting starts 8hours ago
Useless to me now. Expanding Similar posts was what I wanted it for. Uninstalling.
Prompt response from Russell Gilbert got things working again. Discussion board on website is very helpful as well. Thanks
You’re back! This is the best day ever!
I am disappointed that FB forced you to remove a few features, but I appreciate everything you are doing to work with them! Anything is better than nothing at all!
Rock on!
Hi, After installing 2.0.1 this plugin stopped to work under FF 3.6.3. No idea what happened as it was fine before. Now I installed 2.0.0 but doesn’t work. Any idea?

Please replace “remove recent activity” option and release a new version!!
Can you do another update? They changed “Suggestions” to “Keep in Touch” and now I see all that crap again. Really don’t like that they forced you to remove all the great features that were the reasons I first downloaded this … but I keep it because I do find the features you’ve been allowed to keep helpful as well. Keep up the good work!
I fan to Seth Godin. He just releases his article which is originally posted to this link:

Problem is, when FF is active the post got HIDDEN.
If this is one of those ‘Apps to show’ problems, please advise what to write in that Tab to make it appears.
Thanks Russel! :-)
As of today, June 15th, when I have Feed Filter turned on for Mafia Wars, I can’t see the Mafia Wars posts. They pop up and then immediately disappear and are replaced by the rest of the posts, including the change the profile posts. I hesitate to update to this latest version until these issues are addressed. I still miss the feature that let us hide the add friends and to have “similar posts” be removed. I understand it’s Facebook, but it’s annoying to have so much extra stuff on the news feed that Feed Filter took care of so well.
Thanks for all you have done, or tried to do, to make this site more user-friendly for Mafia Wars player.
Just installed the newest version….2.0.1….and when it’s turned on my Mafia Wars posts completely disappear. Is it an issue you are having with Facebook? Please let us know or please “fix” the glitch or problem. I have really enjoyed having this tool for keeping my News Feed clean.
Thank you for all your hard work.
Pretty cool – but already there is a new nuisance:
“Recommend Pages”
and the feature to expand “Show Similar Posts” is sorely missed.
everything nice, just miss the ability to put “Most Recent” as default Home page page…
Can you split the option on hiding ‘likes’ and ‘commented on’? I want to hide ‘likes’ (as many people use that link as a placeholder when they peruse their newsfeed) but stay in the loop with ‘commented on’ comments.
I don’t understand why FB must use “Top News” as the default page. It’s not saving them bandwidth or serverload or whatever because people are clicking on “Most Recent” as soon as they log on. Plus, I want to know how FB defines what posts are top news (most likely those with the most viewing activity or comments).
After the latest Firefox update, we are seeing “Likes” and “Now friends with”
George T Chattin and Jonni Wars are now friends with Lisa Wood.
about a minute ago ยท Add as Friend
“Likes” and “Now friends with” are show up in my feeds ..
Dale and Brian are right, “Now friends…” is back on. I don’t think it has to do with FF-update, though. I updated FF few days ago, and today was ther first day I’ve noticed that feed showing-up again.
