Title: auto shut down
Post by: IBT853 on October 18, 2003, 03:11:09 AM
hello russell,

hi all,
it's 10pm and i wanna go to bed. but i have clients flying on servers. would it be possible in one of the future beta's to have a command box to check, that when the last client leaves the server, fshost would shut down ? or even shut down the computer it's running on? in california, i can't afford to pay the electric company to run fshost 24/7 :'( and i hate to shut down fshost with people still flying. just a thought. again, the weather works great! what a nice feature !

                          thanks russell

Good idea for a feature.  This is similar to one that someone else suggested.  What they wanted was a way to specify when the session would end, and also have it announce msgs in the chat window when the time was getting close.  Maybe in a future version...

Yea right... cool idea.

also would be cool, if the server woudn't accept new logons and send a messages to players who try to logon with the information, that the server will be shut down soon...
