I know that this would be difficult, but I think it could really improve the game experience. (FSX's standard in-game server software already features this.)
Let me explain, if you don't know what I'm talking about:
If player A has installed aircraft A, but player B has not, then player B just sees the default C172 jetting around. Now this is fine in most cases, but what if aircraft A is an F-18? (BTW, this has happened on my server. I had to create an allowed aircraft list in an effort for standardization.) Also, server hosts would possibly benefit by not fumbling with aircraft translations.
I understand the difficulties and cons of this. Sending aircraft models back and forth across the web would doubtless slow the server, and distributing them would take up more RAM and CPU. But I think it can be done.
