I'd like to see something that would ID those flyers whose ports are not properly forward. Like painting them red or flashing on the host's screen.

Sorry to bump this, but I was going to suggest that you could also have FSHost detect the ports as being forwarded correctly or not, and just block their connection if they aren't.

Not sure this would be possible since FSHost doesn't handle the connection, Microsoft's DirectPlay does (I think)

I don't know the technical parts of it well enough to say for sure, but I don't see why FSHost couldn't hook into it. Theoretically it should be able to pick up the packets.
