Another bugs ( I think )

(1/1)

Gael_FR-LORR:
Hello M. Russel,

others bugs to check:

1) Sometimes, when 8 or more pilots are connected, FSHost freeze, and when it's released, it happens that only the people having FS2004 are able to connect themselves to the server, those having FS2002 does not arrive there. While stopping and by restarting again FSHost, that functions again.

2) When 8 or more pilots are connected, and when i kick manually a FSNAV session of a FS2004 player , that blocks FSHost, and i'm obliged to start again.

3) Massive disconnect still arrive, when the're many players

FS2002 and FS2004 compatibility such step FSHost?

Thank's for your attention

If you open your task manager you can add a column called "Handles". Check to see how high this number is by the time it locks up on your system. I am having a problem too after there have been a lot of connections but we haven't been able to figure out what is causing it. Also, what OS are you using? (I'm using 2000 server)

Hi Gaël,

Can you tell me more about your system?  What speed CPU is it?  Also, do you have anything else running on the machine at the same time (such as FS2002 or FS2004)?

You might try increasing the "2004 data forward rate" on the Options / Session window, to maybe 1000ms to see if it helps.  You should definitely be able to run with more than 8 players.

Also, if you're supporting FS2002, be sure to require DirectX 9, which can help with mass disconnects caused by a bug in DirectX 8.  The checkbox is on the Options / Misc window.

Russell
