Hi All,

before I continue I would like to show my setup
PC1: FS2004
PC2: WideFS, FSHost (ip: 192,198,1,101)
Router: Linksys BEFSW11S4
Ports opened on PC2:
81-81 (protocol both)
23450-23456 (protocol both)
2300-2400 (protocol both)
6073-6073(protocol both)

I have installed FSHost succesfully and can connect internally. Also the Masterserver picks up my session and Some people manage to login to my session.

However after a couple of minutes with or without players my router blocks and I need to pull out the power supply of the router. This will sort of reset the router and I have to restart the FSHost server again.

Anybody familiar with this issue? I have tried to search in this forum although I did not quite know what to look for.

I'm not an expert, but it sounds like a timeout function of some kind with your router.

Also, why are you running WideFS on PC2? You don't need it to connect to FSHost, in fact I wonder if it might be the source of your trials...?

When hosting a session, it is my opinion that you would want to have your internet ip visable on the internet. I have seen time and time again when home router set-ups have caused many problems.

Perhaps you might try obtaining an additional Internet IP address from your provider. Depending on the provider, many DSL/Cable companies will allow one or two additional IP addresses to be assigned by DHCP.
