I am new to all of this, so I hope I am doing this correctly.  I want to connect my two computers and I have been using the information in this article as my guide.
I am unable to get the .cfg and the .xml files and their contents installed using "Notepad".   I can open Notepad and find the location for the files, but that is as far as I get.  I can't find how to get the information into NotePad and then install the file.  I know I am doing something wrong, but I don't know what.  I want to install the SimConect.cfg and it's contents on my computer#2 and the SimConnect.xml and it's contents on computer#1.  Can anyone help me with this problem.

Hi Ed, You need a device that is called a keyboard connected to your computer. Presumably you have one as you were able to post your message.
Open the .cfg with NotePad and then use the keyboard to type in the changes, When you are done simply "Save As" and save the file where it needs to be.
Do the same with the .xml file.

  Hopefully someone else can help you.
As I've said before I use multiple displays and have no reason to connect to a second computer with flight sim.
