Network Issues
« on: December 30, 2007, 07:54:50 PM »

Hello, my friend and I are trying to set up a game together, but we're having difficulties. I have FSX and he has FS2004, and we both use routers. I've managed to forward a port to myself, so I can register with the master server. My friend has not made any changes. I'm hosting the game using FSHost, then I join the game with FSHostClient. After that, my friend tries to log in, but can't. I'm not very network savvy, so please make it easy for me to understand your response.

Registering with the master server is not important if only you and your friend want to play. The ports you NEED to forward are:

FS2004

23456-23458 UDP
6073 UDP
23432 TCP/UDP
2300 to 2400 UDP

FSX

23456-23458 UDP
6073 UDP
23432 TCP/UDP
2300-2400 UDP
47624 TCP

Be sure these are forwarded in BOTH networks.

How do you enter them in when you have a router (Belkin Wireless G)?
