Hi,

I run two instances of FSHost as services on a Windows Server 2003 VPS.  The second instance is used for races and is usually in a 'stopped' state.  The first instance has been running for almost two months now and memory usage is more than 128,000K (see screenshot).

I know I can reclaim the memory by restarting the service, but has anyone else experienced this?  If I were to leave it running it would eventually use too much memory and services would automatically be stopped to recover lost memory.

Interesting?  I'm running 5 FSHost servers, TeamSpeak2, TeamSpeak3 and MSMessinger on an old XP machine and I may re-boot it every couple months just to make the Windows automatic updates happy.
I don't see anything leaking anywhere.

Ok, this thread's now a week old & memory usage on my FSHost server is now up to 142,248K (from 128,984K a week ago), so there's obviously a problem somewhere, I just wish I knew where.

@Bob, any chance next time you reboot your box you can check memory usage on your FSHost servers? (from processes tab in task manager)

Note:  had to edit this post as I wrote it, memory usage has gone up while writing!!

Here's a capture.
The five FSHost servers have about the same memory usage before and after a reboot.
You must have something else going on there.

Thanks Bob, those figures are broadly similar to my box after a reboot, perhaps it's becuse I'm running them as a service.

Ah! That would explain it. You involved windoze.
It has so many leaks I sometimes have to mop up the puddle under my other computer.
